Jake Kielb's Hockey Foundation is a 501c3 Non-Profit organization that began in early 2016 with the vision of growing youth hockey in Southern Nevada.Being a hockey parent myself, I know the struggles of being able to keep up with your child's hockey program costs. Not only are the programs expensive but so is the hockey gear. The foundation has a starter program that gives children hockey gear free of cost, once in enrolled in a beginner hockey program. The foundation has a financial hardship program for any child who is currently playing hockey but can't keep up with their program costs. We offer free clinics throughout the year, which gives youth hockey players extra ice time to help grow their skills.
The foundation was named after my son, Jake who has been playing hockey since he was 4 years old. To be able to share this with him is indescribable. I don't want any other parent to have to go through what I went through with Jake. I want children to be able to play hockey and not have to worry if their parents can afford it or not. You shouldn't have to tell your child no because you can't afford it. Through Jake Kielb's Hockey Foundation we will be able to change that, giving each child an equal opportunity to play the game Jake loves so much.
