Cost Shouldn't Decide Who Gets to Play

Youth hockey involves real expense—especially at the start. Too many families pause after a “Try Hockey” day because full gear and program fees feel out of reach.

Jake Kielb’s Hockey Scholarships, the Alex Bush Memorial Goalie Scholarship, and our Starter Gear Program exist so price isn’t the reason a child leaves the ice.

Our Story

Our story

Jake Kielb's Hockey Foundation began in early 2016 with a simple goal: grow youth hockey in Southern Nevada and ease the financial load on families.

Named after my son Jake, the Foundation reflects what we wish every hockey parent had—transparent help with startup costs, scholarships, gear, and a path to keep kids playing the game we love.

Why Hockey Matters

Hockey teaches discipline, teamwork, and resilience—habits that carry into school, work, and life.

Our mission is to make those lessons available to every Nevada child who wants them, not only families who can absorb the full sticker price.
